Two Things
1. I’m tired of getting shot at. It’s summer here and it’s to be expected but they’re not even shooting whole-heartily; we’re just running through the pretenses of war.
2. I need to get laid… but since I’m in Afghanistan I can expect both of these to become increasingly frustrating.
M.A. or Africa?
Always regretted not going to WVU as an undergrad so I’m seriously thinking about applying for a grad program there, just not sure. I finished up paperwork today to get out of the Army in less than a year(!!) and while it seems smart, and safe to head back to school for my M.A, I’ve got an opportunity to go to Africa and work with a private physical security contractor.
I’m not sure. Never been to Africa but i’m sure it’s exciting, more exciting than another 2 years of school, and the money is way better. I just can’t see myself teaching, not after years in the Army. I’ve got no one in the States but my dog, I’d have to give her up to go to Africa but she’s with my brother now and it would be an easy transition for her…I just hate the idea of carrying on this lifestyle in another country.
